Overview
This project involved improving the local search visibility of a doctor’s website that was struggling to appear in Google search results for important location-based keywords.
When I first reviewed the website, it had very limited local visibility. Most of the important keywords related to the doctor’s services and location were ranking on the second or third page of Google, which meant the website was missing out on potential patients searching online.
I analyzed the website’s SEO performance through Google Search Console and identified several opportunities to improve both the website structure and local search optimization.
By focusing on Local SEO, on-page improvements, and content optimization, I was able to increase the website’s visibility for relevant medical and location-based searches. Within three months, the website experienced a significant improvement in impressions, clicks, and keyword rankings.
Objectives
- Improve the website’s local search visibility
- Increase organic traffic from patients searching on Google
- Improve rankings for location-based medical keywords
- Optimize website pages for better local SEO performance
- Increase impressions and search presence
- Generate consistent organic leads from search

Within 3 months, the website showed strong improvement in local search performance.
Google Search Console Results:
Total Clicks: Increased from 1.57K → 5.87K
Total Impressions: Increased from 130K → 422K
Average CTR: Improved from 1.2% → 1.4%
Average Position: Improved from 18.3 → 14.3
This growth indicates that the website started ranking for more local medical searches, leading to higher visibility and increased organic traffic from potential patients.
